Terms and Conditions

Entrants must be beginners on their chosen instruments and available to travel to Waltons New School of Music (69 South Great George’s Street, Dublin 2) for tuition on a weekly basis from January to March.

Instruments do not become the property of contest winners until after the completion of ten weeks of scheduled lessons.

Days/times of lessons at Waltons New School of Music are subject to teacher and timetable availability. Winners will be asked to fill out an enrolment form with their day/time preferences, which we will do our best to suit.

Make-up lessons will not be given in the case of student absence. If the teacher is unable to give a lesson, the student may be given the option of taking a make-up lesson with the student’s own teacher or taking the lesson with a substitute teacher.

Waltons New School of Music reserves the right to dismiss any student for frequent absences, disciplinary reasons and/or non-compliance with New School regulations.

Prize-winners may be asked – but are not required – to participate in promotional activities surrounding the competition and in promotion of future competitions.
